Privacy

What we collect

• Account info you provide — email, name, company, state, role, bio, LinkedIn URL.
• Reading activity — articles you open, when, and a hashed IP for anonymous Google-sampling visitors. We never store your raw IP.
• Engagement — event RSVPs, provider quote requests, saved articles, newsletter preferences.
• Billing — Stripe customer id; card details live on Stripe, never on our servers.

What we don’t collect

• Third-party tracking pixels.
• Behavioral advertising profiles.
• Cross-site browsing history.

What you control

• Visibility to sponsors — off by default. Toggle in /account/preferences.
• Visibility on event “Who’s going” lists — off by default. Per-event override available.
• Newsletter — immediate / weekly / off; one-click unsubscribe in every email.
• Export — full JSON dump at /api/account/export.
• Delete — type-to-confirm at /account/delete; we cascade-remove your data and never keep tombstones.

What sponsors and partners can see

The Elite Officer is a professional networking platform for the private lending industry. When you read sponsored content or engage with articles from our industry partners, sponsors may see the following information about your engagement:

• Your full name and professional title
• Your company name
• Which articles you read and how you engaged with them

Sponsors cannot see your email address. We never sell or share your contact information directly with sponsors.

This visibility is designed to help industry professionals connect with relevant companies and services. You are in control — you can adjust your profile visibility in your Account Settings.

Sponsors and leads

When you click “Contact This Company” on a sponsored article, a lead snapshot (name, email, company, state) is shared with that sponsor. Leads aren’t shared otherwise. We show sponsors aggregate analytics about who reads their content; we identify individuals only when they’ve opted in via the toggle above.

Cookies and storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small localStorage entry to remember your theme preference. That’s it.
